No matter what kind of engine oil is used, it will lose its viscosity and protection effect after long-term use. With the extension of oil service time, additives will be lost. Therefore, in order to reduce the wear of engine parts and prolong the service life of the engine, the car oil filter must be replaced when changing the oil.
If only the new engine oil is replaced without replacing the car oil filter, about 1/4 of the pollutants in the old filter will enter the engine oil circulation again, which not only increases the chance of wear, but also reduces the performance of the new engine oil.
The replacement cycle of auto oil filter is generally about 5000-10000 km. For specific optimal replacement time, refer to the instructions in the vehicle owner's manual. For frequently used vehicles, the oil filter shall be replaced every 8000 km. Under severe conditions, such as frequent driving on dusty roads, it shall be replaced every 5000 km.
When changing the engine oil, the auto oil filter must be changed at the same time, and the filter element with good quality must be selected. If the filter element is of poor quality, paint film, carbon deposits, oil sludge and other deposits, metal debris, etc. during the lubrication process will leak and re-enter the circulation, resulting in the wear of lubricating parts; On the other hand, dirt will enter the cycle again. It will promote the continuous increase of oil deposits and lead to clogging of filter elements and poor oil supply.
